Thank you for your question on the model MH67 exhaust fan/light. There are no longer any repair parts available for the MH67. You would need to replace the entire unit with a new model.

Question

Do you have a fan that can replace my original modular home bathroom fan?

My fan vents straight up through the roof because I have no attic. The vent is round, 6-7/8" across. Height to the screen at the roof line (I believe it is the roof line) is 13". The fan is mounted inside this vent.
Do I have to go to a trailer house dealer for a fan?

Thank you for your question on the bath and ventilation fans. Our sister company, Broan, makes a fan that may work in your application. It is a model 673. You can find it by going to the Broan web site www.broan.com and doing a search for model 673.

Question

Can a NuTone model 360 3-speed control be replaced with a standard on/off or timer switch?

I have an old NuTone fan and switch that says "model 360". It is a 3-speed control, probably from the fifties or sixties. The fan still works fine but the switch clashes with the color of the wall. Could it be replaced with a standard on/off switch or a timer switch? Would the fan always run on high if I used one of these as a replacement?

Thank you for your question on bath and ventilation fans. We have not had a model 360 speed control, but we did have a model 860, three speed control. I believe that is what you may have. You can replace that control with a standard switch or timer, and yes it would then operate at high speed all the time.

Question

I have a Nutone LS-100SE which is broken. Model seems discontinued. Is there a replacement motor I can fit into the existing housing?

Or an existing model which will fit into same housing/duct dimensions?

Thank you for your question on the model LS100SE exhaust fan. The motor for the LS100SE has gone obsolete and there is no replacement for it. You would need to completely replace the unit with another model. We do not have another model with the exact dimensions, but the closest model to the LS100SE would be the QTRN110.

Question

How do I replace the light bulb in Nutone Model 8662NL?

In other words: how do I access the light bulb? I can't figure out how to lower or remove the glass lens or the aluminum ring that holds it, whichever is required in order to replace the burned out light bulb.

Thank you for your question on the model 8662NL exhaust fan/light. To replace the light bulb, you would grasp the small metal bezel around the lens and pull straight down. The bezel and lens should come down approximately two inches. You would then reach around the bezel and squeeze the springs together to remove the assembly.

Thank you for your question on the model QTN110LE exhaust fan/light/night light. The QTN110LE is designed to be able to operate all functions individually, but you can wire it so that one switch turns on the fan and light. Connect the unit ground wire to the house bare ground wire. Connect all the white wires from the fan to the house white neutral wire. Connect the black and blue wire from the fan to the power wire coming from your switch. If you are not using the night light, cap off the red wire.

Thank you for your question on the bath and ventilation fans. None of our bath and ventilation fans have a battery backup. I would first check your breaker box to make sure there are no breakers tripped. It sounds like you may need to have an electrician check the power coming to the switch or the switch itself.

Question

I recently found an extremely old Nutone bath exhaust fan, needs motor replaced very little information.

I would say the exhaust fan was installed in the early 70's. It actually has a real motor as in a metal shroud surrounding it. The info on the motor is as follows: SER 2PF 06327R MOD AA2C76N# 115 V 60 HZ 0.06 1550 RPM. To replace/retrofit a newer Nutone bathroom exhaust fan is going to be labor intensive (no attic to access) approz 16" of trusses and the building roof. Any chances that there is a replacement motor available?

Thank you for your question on the bath and ventilation fans. It is possible to vent two exhaust fans through one roof penetration, but when you combine the two ducts, you would need to increase the size of the duct work. For example, if you combine two four inch ducts together, you would need to increase the duct size to six inch from that point on. There is also the chance of some of the exhausted air working its way back into the second room. For further assistance, please contact our Technical Service Department at 888-336-6151.

There are also replacement parts available for many of our older units. Please contact our Technical Service Department at 888-336-6151 for further assistance.

Question

Is there a bath fan that fits the LS100SE housing & ductwork?

I have a couple of LS100SE bath fans. One failed, and because the motor/fan assy ("B-unit") for that model was discontinued, I replaced it with an LS100 B-unit and a compatible outlet assy (p/n 89157000). Recently, the other LS100SE failed, but now the LS100 outlet assy is also discontinued -- so my previous solution is no longer available.

My question is this: Is there a fan (or B-unit & outlet assy) still available that will fit in the LS100SE housing, or do I have to replace the entire unit (and rework the ceiling opening & ductwork to suit)? Obviously if I have to completely rework everything to install a new fan, there's no reason to limit my options to Broan/Nutone products.

Thank you for your question on the model QT110 exhaust fan. There are replacement parts available for the QT110. You can get those through our Customer Service Department at 888-336-3948. If you want to completely remove the QT110 and replace it, the current equivalent model would be the QTRN110. You would need to enlarge the hole in the ceiling a little for the new fan.

Question

I have a 40 year old Nutone bathroom ceiling fan that is starting to make motor growling noise. What unit can I use to replace the one I have?

My current unit is a Nutone 70 CFM @ 10 WG fan unit only.

The model number is either:
8833 A unit or
B - 64290 I can't tell which is the Model #.

The in-ceiling frame (holds the motor unit) dimensions are 9" x 7 1/2".

What is a proper replacement unit??

Thank you for your question on the model 8833 exhaust fan. The closest current model to the 8833 would be the 8832. You would need to completely remove the 8833 from the ceiling to install the 8832. There are replacement parts available for the 8833 if you would just want to repair it. Please contact our Customer Service Department at 888-336-3948 for assistance with repair parts.

Thank you for your question on the model 8210 exhaust fan. The only parts available for the 8210 would be the original replacement parts. There is nothing that can be placed in the current housing to give you a fan and light. If you want something with a fan and light, you would need to completely remove the 8210 and install a new unit.
